Marki was born and raised in Michigan. His mentor was a 100 year old Hairdresser named David Pressley.
Currently Marki divides his time between New York and Los Angeles. While doing hair for shows such as Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Alexander McQueen.
Recently he has been named Beauty Editor of Birdcage Magazine and also has started to work with Leonor Greyl which is a luxury natural hair product line based in Paris.
